After an extended hiatus from blogging, I’m finally feeling creative again! Since starting this blog 4 years ago, so much has changed – including my personal style and the interiors I gravitate toward. Now that I’m back to blogging, I thought it was time for a little bit of a refresh. I want this blog to be a reflection of my current taste and interests, so in addition to some updated branding, I’m excited to share that the blog will also be taking on a new name.
The Cozy Creative is now Apple Creek Home! I wanted the new name for the blog to be something a bit more refined that more clearly encompasses what this blog is all about – all things home, including inspiring interiors, yummy new recipes, DIY projects, and everything in between. The name Apple Creek Home is an homage to our first home, which we’ve now spent 3 years putting endless amounts of love, sweat, and tears into.
As I began planning the blog’s rebrand earlier this summer, Darian suggested that I create a document to store my font names, brand colors, etc. – and of course I took his advice a step further and created a full on mood board. I’m sharing that mood board here to give you a little glimpse into the new look for Apple Creek Home. Although the blog will still have a simple, fresh, and clean look to make reading posts easy, you’ll notice more moody accent colors and simpler fonts.

I’ve also decided to start a separate Instagram account for all things Apple Creek Home – partially because I don’t want to spam everyone who follows my personal account with my ventures, and partially because I’m weird about the aesthetic of my personal Instagram (IYKYK) and I don’t want to feel trapped by a certain look or color scheme as I’m sharing blog and home updates! I’d love it if you’d follow along at @applecreekhome on Instagram. We’ve completed a lot of projects in the 3 years since we purchased our home, and I’ll be going back into my Google Photos archive to share every step on Instagram and the blog!
In addition to home projects, you’ll also be seeing recipes on the blog more frequently – my passion for cooking has really grown over the last few years and I’ve started to venture a bit more into making up my own recipes. I’m excited to share those recipes here with you all (and hopefully my food photography skills will improve along the way)!
So all of that is to say, I hope you’ll follow along with this next creative venture of mine. Feel free to drop a comment below or send me a DM if there are any topics you’d like me to cover or projects you’d like to see a blog post about – I’m always open to ideas!
