MOTHER’S DAY GIFT GUIDE 2020

Today marks two weeks until Mother’s Day, and with everything going on in the world, it really snuck up on me quickly this year. Mother’s Day is certainly going to look different for most of us in 2020 – so if you’re like me, you’re probably looking for ways you can make your mom feel special from afar while you quarantine separately.

I’ve been scratching my head about what to get my mom during this insanely busy time in my life, so I thought I’d share some ideas for anyone else who needs them! I’ve included several items I’ve gifted to my own mom in the past as well as things that I myself have bought and loved. I tried to include items from a variety of categories so regardless of your mom’s interests I hope you can find something that would appeal to her. As an added bonus, they’re all from places that offer quick shipping, so if you order now they should get to your mom with plenty of time to spare. Take a look at my picks for my 2020 Mother’s Day Gift Guide below!

1. Pixi DetoxifEYE Undereye Treatment – $24.00

I think we can all agree that moms deserve more relaxation time than they get. These undereye patches have tons of amazing reviews and they’re the perfect way to remind your mom to indulge in a little self-care!

2. Magnolia Table Volume 2 – $21.00

Full disclosure, it feels weird to even include something cooking related in this list because my mom HATES to cook. But I know lots of moms enjoy it, so if your mom falls into that category, Joanna Gaines’ latest cookbook is a great choice. There are lots of homestyle recipes in here that she’ll love making!

3. Le Creuset Covered Casserole Pan – $92.00

Another great gift for moms who love to cook – Le Creuset is highly regarded for the quality of their bakeware, and this is a great versatile pan that can be used for casseroles, brownies, and more. If your mom is still using an average glass pan, treat her to an upgrade (it even includes a lid for easy leftovers storage).

4. Women’s Lodge Moccasins – $59.50

Whether they’re working from home during quarantine or retired, most moms are probably spending a lot of time at home these days. These slippers are perfect for feeling a little more put-together while walking around the house but still staying comfy. They’re insanely cozy but also have a pretty solid sole, so they can be worn outside for quick trips to check the mail or take out the trash.

5. Capri Blue Volcano Candle – $34.00

Capri Blue Volcano might be the most universally appealing scent I’ve ever encountered. I’ve never met anyone who didn’t love this candle as soon as they smelled it, and for good reason. It has a rich scent that’s still light, so it’s not overwhelming but still fills the room. This is a pretty hefty candle, so it’ll last your mom a while too!

6. Sleepy Lotion – $21.95

I talked about my love for Sleepy lotion from Lush in my favorite things post, but if you missed it – this stuff is magic. It smells amazing and moisturizes without feeling greasy. I got this for my mom a couple of years ago and she’s asked for a new tub for Christmas every year since!

7. BoxFox Gift Box – $78.00

BoxFox is the perfect solution to all of your quarantine gift-giving woes. Stay at home orders have made curating the perfect gift box a lot harder, but BoxFox takes the guesswork out of it (and makes the whole shipping situation a lot easier). They have tons of curated gift boxes to choose from – I personally love the Pamper Pink one linked above.

8. Dolce & Gabanna Light Blue Eau De Toilette – $82.00

Light Blue is a great versatile scent that your mom is sure to love. It’s great quality and stays on all day. My own mom wears this scent quite frequently and she really loves it!

9. Pure Silk Pillowcase – $89.00

My aunt swears by her silk pillowcase, so I finally switched to one this winter. I have to say, I’m so glad I did. I’m not sure whether it’s made my hair or skin any better, but I definitely feel less gross when I wake up in the morning – plus, it doesn’t get dirty nearly as much as cotton, so it stays white much more easily if you forget to take your makeup off one night. If your mom is a treat yoself kind of lady, get her this and going to bed will feel much more luxurious.

10. Yeti Rambler Mug – $25.00

If you’ve never used Yeti products before, I can confirm that they absolutely live up to the hype. This is one of their more affordable items and it’s seriously amazing. I actually got this for my dad for Christmas and he said it keeps his coffee warm for hours, so it’s perfect for anyone who likes to enjoy their coffee throughout the morning.

11. Personalized Initial Necklace – $36.00+

If your mom is the sentimental type, a personalized necklace with the initials of you and your siblings is a thoughtful gift that would mean a lot to her. My best friend got me one of these as a wedding gift (it has an A and D for Anna & Darian) and it’s one of my favorite pieces of jewelry. It’s dainty and pretty and goes with every outfit!

12. Stackers Travel Jewelry Case – $19.99

My MIL got me the cutest travel jewelry case for Christmas and I’ll never travel without one again. While I’ve been getting *slightly* better about packing light in the clothing department, I still find myself wanting lots of jewelry options when I travel. A travel jewelry case like this one ensures that everything stays organized and nothing gets lost. The one I have is no longer sold, but this one from the Container Store is a great option too!

13. Kendra Scott Stud Earrings – $45.00

If you’re looking for pretty and high quality jewelry that isn’t over the top expensive, Kendra Scott is the perfect choice. I’ve gotten my mom several pieces of Kendra Scott jewelry over the years and she’s loved all of them. As an added bonus, they’re a great company that really cares about giving back to the community, so you can feel good about the purchase too!

14. Revlon One-Step Hairdryer & Volumizer – $59.99

If you follow literally any influencers on Instagram then you’ve probably already heard of this one! I finally got the chance to try it out when I visited my friend last month and although I was hesitant at first, I ended up being really impressed with how quickly it dried my hair. If your mom does her hair every day (or is looking for an easier way to dry it or smooth it out in the morning) this is a great gift that I know she’ll love.
