It’s no secret that, like every other basic woman, I’m obsessed with Target. However, I do not have an endless supply of money, so I’ve mastered the art of window shopping. My Target is close enough to walk to (I don’t because there aren’t sidewalks and I’m lazy, but still), so during non-quarantine times I typically go to Target at least once a week. My favorite section is definitely the home decor section, and Target’s selection just keeps getting better. I love seeing product roundups from design bloggers I follow, so I thought I’d throw together one of my own. Especially with everyone staying inside for the foreseeable future, I thought it might be helpful to share some items that I saw in-store and loved on my Target runs at the beginning of spring. Read on to see my favorite items from the Target spring home collection!
1. Large Brass Candle, Lemon
If you read my post about my favorite purchases so far this year, you already know how much I love this candle. It’s hard to tell from the picture, but this thing is massive and I can already tell it’s going to last for a while. It smells amazing and the gold is the perfect touch to any room!
2. Decorative Limestone Bookend
These bookends were love at first sight. I love how unique they are – no two are exactly the same and they’d be the perfect item to bring texture and character to some styled bookshelves. In person, the color leans more toward a creamy white than the yellow-ish hue in the picture above. They’re decently heavy, so function-wise they would definitely be great for holding up lots of books.
3. Artificial String of Pearls Succulent
The stock photos for this one just do not do it justice – it’s a much more convincing faux plant in real life. I love the flowy organic feel of it and the brass jar is to die for. I see this as the perfect addition to brighten up a desk or kitchen windowsill.
4. Round Decorative Wood Wall Mirror
If you live in a small space like me, mirrors are key to making spaces feel larger. This mirror caught my eye instantly because of the wood detail on the frame. In person the wood looks much lighter and the tone of it is a bit cooler. This mirror would be great in an entryway or as an accent above a bed!
5. Ceramic Bud Vases
I’m always on the hunt for affordable pieces to use in shelf styling and these vases are perfect! They’re sold individually but I think they look great as a trio. The color is a perfect neutral that could look great in any room. I see these looking pretty alongside some books on a bookshelf!
6. Aseana Large Round Market Basket
I’m a sucker for baskets – they’re cute, they add so much warmth to any space, and they’re great for keeping things organized, which is obviously a big priority for me. This one checks every one of my boxes – it’s pretty, substantial, and has a unique shape that sets it apart from your run of the mill storage basket. This one would be perfect for blanket storage in a living room or shoe storage under an entry console!
7. Wood & Cane Accent Chair
I’m normally all about the budget finds and this chair certainly isn’t in my budget for the time being, but it’s so gorgeous I had to share it. It’s super sturdy and a great size and the wood is the perfect tone. I’d use this as an accent chair in a living room or a cute place to sit and get ready in an empty bedroom corner!
8. Faux Rosemary Plant
I’m adding this one to the list of “things that look much better in person than they do in the stock photo.” In real life this plant looks super realistic. If you’ve been following along for a while you know that I love plants but have a major black thumb. I love the look of some herbs as functional kitchen decor, but I can’t tell you how many tiny kitchen herb plants I’ve killed. Although this technically wouldn’t be functional like a real rosemary plant, it’s a great alternative to inject some green into your kitchen!
9. Stamped Metal Mirror
I am OBSESSED with this mirror. The shape is really unique and the gold border is simple in a really pretty way. It would look amazing above the sink in a powder room!
10. Round Bowl with Aluminum Gold Handle
This bowl is technically from the kitchen section, but I’m going to let it slide because Chrissy Teigen’s entire Cravings collection is amazing! I found this piece while hunting for a new pepper grinder and immediately loved the great wood tone with gold accents. It’s really substantial and would look great as a decorative bowl on a coffee table!
11. Wooden Black Planter
I’ve been really into matte black accents lately so I’m loving this planter. It’s a great size and I love the shape of it. I think it would be the perfect vessel to hold lots of eucalyptus on an entry table or even as a centerpiece on a dining table!
12. Large Seagrass Light Pendant
This is the priciest item on this list, but for good reason. I firmly believe that lighting makes the biggest difference in a room, and this light is unique enough to be worth the investment! I’ve seen woven lights like this for triple the price so this is actually a relatively good deal. The textured detail of this light is so, so good and I just know it would add so much character to any room. Two of them would look great above a kitchen island, or if you just want to get one I think it’d look great as an accent light in a stairwell!
13. Mini Reactive Glaze Bowls
I am a strong believer in the idea that dishes don’t have to be boring. Although like plain white plates for #foodtography purposes, I’m always on the lookout for pretty bowls (especially since our kitchen is so tiny that we actually store our dishes on a shelf out in the open). I love that these cute little bowls are so pretty that they could double as decor. I see these looking great as a simple accent on some open kitchen shelving.
14. Textured Wood Accent Lamp
I’ve been on the hunt for some new table lamps for the nightstands in our guest room for some time now, and I just might have to snatch this one up. I love the warmth that wood brings, but it can be hard to find the right tone. This lamp is the perfect neutral wood and I’m obsessed with the brassy accents! It would be perfect to bring some moody light to a bedroom.
15. Rough Aluminum Gold Bowl
It’s no secret that I love a good brass accent. This bowl is a beautiful shade of brassy gold and a great size, which makes it the perfect decorative element. It’d look great on top of a stack of books on a coffee table or even repurposed as a bookend on a nicely styled shelf!
